B.A. in Music Education
Classically trained both in China and the United States, Cynthia Knight is an active solo recitalist, accompanist as well as a music educator. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education concentrating in piano, Cynthia continued her graduate music study in piano performance at NC School of the Arts. Cynthia has been teaching piano to various student levels for about fifteen years. She taught college students in China and has been teaching as a part-time faculty member at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC.
Day in and day out, Cynthia continually strives to improve her knowledge as a teacher and a performer. Cynthia plays solo recitals, and participates with her students recitals as well as attending workshops and master classes. As a professional piano teacher, Cynthia is a member of many music teachers organizations such as Music Teachers National Association, North Carolina Music Teachers Association, Charlotte Music Teachers Association, National Federation of Music Clubs, North Carolina Federation of Music Clubs, Charlotte Music Club, and Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum.
Cynthia is also a Nationally Certified Music Teacher by MTNA. Her students have won first places and superior ratings from many auditions and festivals hosted by different professional music teachers organizations.
